Italia es uno de los países más visitados; tanto que muchas de sus ciudades son “ciudades museo”. Aunque este termino no es muy usado o bien definido aún, desde 2014 han existido muchos movimientos para definir este tipo de ciudades que tienen en sus calles la historia presente, pero ahondare más en esto cuando hablemos de Venecia.

Por ahora basta saber que muchas de estas ciudades italianas cobran un impuesto por visita, y están pensando limitar las visitas a ciertas ciudades donde solo podrá accederse si se compra un boleto previo, como a un museo. Después de pasar un mes en este país, entiendo el porque.

Todos los lugares que visitamos nos sorprendieron con su arquitectura, su comida, sus tiendas,y en general, su belleza. Pasando los primeros 15 días en Florencia, cuna del renacimiento, viendo todo lo que vimos y comiendo todo lo que comimos pensamos que los otros lugares que visitaríamos serían ‘algo parecido’ o ‘menos impresionantes’; ¡que equivocados!, cada ciudad tiene su encanto, y, sobre todo, es un placer visitar cada una de ellas. Excepto Nápoles Y aún cuando algunas ciudades fueran más rudas que otras, de todas las ciudades tenemos recuerdos cautivadores e irreemplazables.

Italy is one of the most visited countries; so much that many of its cities are «museum cities». Although this term is not very used or well defined yet, since 2014 there have been advocates to name and give special treatment to these types of cities; cities that have in their streets the history present, but I will delve more into this when we talk about Venice.

For now it is enough to know that many of these Italian cities charge a tax per visit. Additionally, these cities are planning to limit the number of visitors by making the cities accessible only if you bought a previous ticket, like in a museum. After spending a month in this country, I understand why.

All the places we visited surprised us with their architecture, their food, their shops, and overall, their beauty. After spending the first 15 days in Florence, the Renaissance birthplace, seeing all that beauty and eating those delicacies we thought the other places we would visit would be ‘similar’ or ‘less impressive’ How wrong!, Every city has its charm, and above all, it is a pleasure to visit each one of them. Except Naples And even if some cities were more tough than others, we have fond memories in all of them.
